From the Mountains to the Andaman — The Practice Reaches Phuket

For one week in July 2026, the tantric bodywork lineage rooted in Chiang Mai travels south to the sea. A guide to the Phuket session window, for northerners and travellers alike.

One Practice, Two Landscapes

The work we hold in Chiang Mai has always belonged to the quiet. The mountains give it naturally: cool mornings under Doi Suthep, temple bells at the edge of hearing, a city that still knows how to move slowly. People come north for tantric bodywork partly because the landscape itself is already halfway into the session.

In July 2026, the practice travels. From 16 to 22 July, the same lineage of ceremonial bodywork — the same practitioners' approach you may know from our Chiang Mai sessions — will be held on Phuket, at the far southern end of Thailand and the far opposite end of its geography. Mountains traded for the Andaman Sea. Pine air traded for salt.

What does not change is the practice itself. A session in Phuket follows the same ceremonial arc as a session in Chiang Mai: an opening conversation to ground and align, guided breathwork to settle the nervous system, and slow, conscious bodywork that engages the body's energy system, drawing on the Tantra Liberation Method — a blend of tantric traditions with modern somatic modalities. It is a professional wellness practice held within clear boundaries; it cultivates breath, presence, and life-force energy, and its purpose is well-being, not sex.

Mountain Quiet, Sea Quiet

Quiet is not one thing. The northern version is enclosed and vertical — mist holding the valley, the mountain standing over the old city, sound absorbed by forest. It turns attention inward the way a temple courtyard does, by wrapping stillness around you.

The sea's version is open and horizontal. On Phuket's southern coast in the green season, the horizon does the work the mountain does in the north: the eye rests on distance, the rhythm of water replaces the rhythm of traffic, and the body's breathing begins, without instruction, to match the slower measure of the waves. Clients often describe the effect differently — the mountains feel like being held, the sea like being widened — but the nervous system reads both as the same invitation to soften.

July, the heart of the green season, deepens this. The island is at its emptiest, the light is soft and cloud-filtered, and the short afternoon rains close the world down to a single warm room. For inward work, it is the most generous month the south offers.

Where the Southern Sessions Are Held

Sessions take place in the island's quiet south, around Rawai and Nai Harn — the residential, unhurried corner of Phuket, far from the entertainment districts — or at your own villa anywhere along the west coast from Bangtao down to Kata. Solo sessions run two hours from ฿23,000 (about $700), and couples sessions run three to six hours from ฿34,500; complete pricing and formats live on the session page.

Because the window is a single week, the number of sessions is small. Enquire early, confirm your slot, and arrange travel around it. Outside these dates we keep a waitlist for future visits, so a missed July is a pause, not an ending.

Making the Journey South

From Chiang Mai, the trip is simple: direct flights from Chiang Mai International (CNX) to Phuket (HKT) take about two hours, with several departures daily. From Bangkok, the hop is shorter still. Once on the island, the southern beaches are roughly an hour from the airport by car, and a pre-booked transfer makes the arrival seamless.

A suggestion drawn from how our northern clients travel: treat the session as the centre of the week rather than an item on an itinerary. Arrive the day before at the latest. Keep the day of the session unscheduled on both sides. Let the day after be slow — a long breakfast, an empty beach, nothing that requires a decision. The bodywork continues working after the session ends, and the green-season island is an unusually kind place to let it.

Couples travelling together may find the southern window especially natural. A shared session, held in your own villa with the sea somewhere below, asks nothing of either partner except presence — and the island in July supplies the unhurried hours around it that a shared practice needs to settle in.

If You Cannot Travel in July

The mountains are not going anywhere. Sessions in Chiang Mai continue year-round, and for those new to this work, our guide to what tantric massage is and our frequently asked questions are the best places to begin. When the next southern window is confirmed, waitlist members hear first.

Whether you meet this practice under the mountain or beside the sea, it is the same invitation: slow down, breathe, and let the body speak in its own language for a few unhurried hours.

Phuket Window Questions

Is the Phuket practice the same lineage as the Chiang Mai sessions? +
Yes. The Phuket window is held by the same Thailand-wide practice you know from Chiang Mai — the same ceremonial structure of breathwork, energy work drawing on the Tantra Liberation Method, and conscious bodywork within clear professional boundaries. Only the landscape changes.
Should I choose Chiang Mai or Phuket for a first session? +
Choose by geography and timing rather than by depth — the work is the same in both places. Chiang Mai is available through the year and suits those already drawn to the north. Phuket is a single week, 16–22 July 2026, and suits those who want to pair the session with time by the sea.
How do I travel from Chiang Mai to Phuket for the July window? +
Direct flights connect Chiang Mai (CNX) to Phuket (HKT) in about two hours, with several departures daily. From the airport, the island's quiet south — Rawai and Nai Harn — is roughly an hour's drive. Confirm your session slot first, then book the flight around it.
What should we prepare if we book a villa session in Phuket? +
Very little. A quiet, clean room with space for a mat or bed, air conditioning or a fan, and a stretch of uninterrupted time — the practitioner brings everything else. Villa sessions are available from Bangtao down to Kata; share your villa's location when you enquire so timing can be arranged.
What happens once the July window closes? +
Outside these dates we keep a waitlist for future visits. Register your interest through the enquiry page and you will be contacted when a new Phuket window is confirmed. Sessions in Chiang Mai continue as usual throughout the year.
